# 🧰.  Matic Network RPC

A technical issue that you might face would be the RPC endpoints being overloaded.

**Here are the common problems that occur with an RPC issue:**

* Site not loading very well
* Failure or delay in transactions
* Anything else that is out of the ordinary

To fix this, we encourage you to switch to another RPC server.

In Metamask select your Polygon Network:

Settings >>> Networks >>> (Your Polygon Network)
```

Update the *New RPC URL* value.

**Here are the alternative RPC servers:**

* <https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com>
* <https://matic-mainnet.chainstacklabs.com>
* <https://matic-mainnet-full-rpc.bwarelabs.com>
* <https://rpc-mainnet.matic.quiknode.pro>

The Chain ID always remains 137.

You may edit the existing Polygon MATIC network connection, or add a new network such as "Polygon 2".

After updating the RPC address, confirm whether you are able to connect to Polygon and that your balance(s) display correctly.
